DR MAYOWA BABATUNDE

Dr Mayo is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) and an Honorary Adjunct Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine at Bond University.

He holds extensive, formally accredited qualifications in skin cancer medicine and surgery, including:

• Diploma of Skin Cancer Surgery

• Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Surgery

• Professional Certificates in Skin Cancer Surgery, Skin Cancer Medicine, and Clinical Procedures,

all quality-assured by Bond University.

Dr Mayo has a strong commitment to medical education and clinical governance. He is actively involved in the remote supervision of GP registrars through the Fellowship Support Program (FSP) and provides in-practice supervision and training of registrars at his Loganholme practice. He also participates in the education and clinical training of medical students from Bond University and Griffith University.

In addition, Dr Mayo has been involved in the supervision and training of International Medical Graduates, with a particular focus on integration into Australian medical practice and progression towards fellowship.

Dr Mayo brings a broad depth of clinical experience, including experience in emergency medicine, and applies a comprehensive, patient-centred approach to care.

His clinical interests include:

DR ADEBOLA BABATUNDE

Dr Deb is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) with a strong commitment to high-quality, patient-centred care.

She has undertaken formal training in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) diagnosis, assessment, and management, for both children and adults, within the scope of general practice.

Dr Deb is actively involved in medical education and professional supervision. She is an RACGP-accredited supervisor for GP registrars and also contributes to the clinical teaching of medical students from Bond University, Griffith University, and The University of Queensland.

She completed a range of medical and surgical specialty rotations at Nambour and Caloundra Hospitals, broadening her clinical experience and strengthening her diagnostic and procedural skills.

In support of a holistic approach to patient care, Dr Deb has further upskilled through training in focused psychological strategies, enabling her to address both physical health needs and psychosocial wellbeing.

Her clinical interests include:

• Child and adolescent health

• Mental health care

• Geriatric care

DR ALA ISMAIL

MB LRCP & SI, BCH, BAO, NUI, FRACGP,

MRCGP, DRCOG, FRCSI (Ireland)

Dr Ala completed his medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He then spent his residency years in large tertiary hospitals in Dublin, completing his fellowship in surgery. Following his hospital experience, he subsequently completed his family medicine training in the UK (MRCGP) and then was awarded his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP),

Dr Ismail has special interests in men’s health, general medicine, chronic disease management and he is highly skilled in sports injuries and joint injections.

Dr Ismail has an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and clinical procedures. He has extensive experience in skin cancer checks, skin cancer surgeries (flaps, skin grafts) and many other minor procedures including toenail removals, laceration repairs and foreign body removals.

DR ZAHEERA ABED

Dr Zaheera graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

She then spent her residency years in large tertiary hospitals in the UK doing various core specialty rotations to enrich her medical and surgical knowledge.

Following her hospital rotations, she subsequently completed her family medicine training, and was awarded her membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) London and completed her Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), London.

After working in the NHS in the UK for 10years, Dr Abed relocated to Australia, where she was awarded her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

Dr Abed has special interests in women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, chronic disease management and mental health care.

She has had extensive experience in respiratory conditions, acne and weight loss treatment.

DR NANDHINI SIVAKUMAR

Dr Sivakumar has a strong interest in women’s health and complex medical problems.

She owned and operated her own practice in New Zealand before coming to Australia.

She speaks both Hindi and Tamil.

Dr Ken Lam

Dr Ken Lam worked as a community pharmacist for 4 years prior to pursuing medicine as a career.

He spent the next 5 years working in various metropolitan hospitals throughout Queensland. Ken enjoys musculoskeletal medicine, is interested in weight loss medicine and has completed his advanced certificate in skin cancer medicine. He has also completed the requirements for GP maternity shared care for Mater and Logan Hospitals.

Ken actively participates in a large variety of sporting activities and will be completing his first triathlon this year. Ken is across diet and exercise strategies for optimizing your physical fitness for sport.

Dr Claudia has joined Bismark Street Family Practice after several years working within the hospital system. Dr Claudia Ho is a senior GP registrar and is keen to start her career in General Practice within our local community.
Dr Claudia has a special interest in Paediatrics, Women’s Health, Mental Health, Dermatology and Chronic Disease Management and Weight Reduction Management.
