DR MAYOWA BABATUNDE

Dr Mayo is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (FRACGP).

He has professional certificate in clinical procedures and skin cancer medicine; quality assured by Bond University.

He is involved in medical education and training of medical students from Bond and Griffith Universities. He has also been involved in the supervision and training of International Medical Graduates with focus on integration into Australian medical practice and achieving fellowship qualification.

Dr Mayo has wealth of experience in multiple areas of medicine including emergency medicine.

His area of interests includes men’s health, dermatology, skin cancer management, minor surgical procedures, chronic disease management, paediatric and geriatric care.

DR ADEBOLA BABATUNDE

Dr Deb is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioner (FRACGP).

She is very passionate about patient care and their wellbeing.

She completed various specialty rotations at the Nambour and Caloundra hospitals, enriching her medical and surgical knowledge.

Dr Deb has also upskilled herself by undergoing training in focused psychological services, due to her interest in holistic care of patients (attends to both physical health as well as psycho-social wellbeing).

Her area of interests includes women’s health, child and adolescent health, geriatric care, chronic disease management and mental health care.

DR ALA ISMAIL

MRCGP, DRCOG, FRCSI (Ireland)

Dr Ala completed his medical school at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He then spent his residency years in large tertiary hospitals in Dublin, completing his fellowship in surgery. Following his hospital experience, he subsequently completed his family medicine training in the UK (MRCGP) and then was awarded his fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP),

Dr Ismail has special interests in men’s health, general medicine, chronic disease management and he is highly skilled in sports injuries and joint injections.

Dr Ismail has an Advanced Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and clinical procedures. He has extensive experience in skin cancer checks, skin cancer surgeries (flaps, skin grafts) and many other minor procedures including toenail removals, laceration repairs and foreign body removals.

DR ZAHEERA ABED

MB BCH, FRACGP, MRCGP

Dr Zaheera graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.

She then spent her residency years in large tertiary hospitals in the UK doing various core specialty rotations to enrich her medical and surgical knowledge.

Following her hospital rotations, she subsequently completed her family medicine training, and was awarded her membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) London and completed her Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG), London.

After working in the NHS in the UK for 10years, Dr Abed relocated to Australia, where she was awarded her fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP)

Dr Abed has special interests in women’s health, antenatal care, paediatrics, chronic disease management and mental health care.

She has had extensive experience in respiratory conditions, acne and weight loss treatment.

DR NANDHINI SIVAKUMAR

MBBS, FRACGP

 

Dr Sivakumar has a strong interest in women’s health and complex medical problems.

She owned and operated her own practice in New Zealand before coming to Australia.

Dr Sivakumar has built a strong patient following since joining the practice over ten years ago.

She speaks both Hindi and Tamil.

Dr Ken Lam

MBBS, FRACGP

 

Dr Ken Lam joined Bismark Street family Practice in late January 2023. Ken worked as a community pharmacist for 4 years prior to pursuing medicine as a career.

He spent the next 5 years working in various metropolitan hospitals throughout Queensland. Ken enjoys musculoskeletal medicine, is interested in weight loss medicine and has completed his advanced certificate in skin cancer medicine. He has also completed the requirements for GP maternity shared care for Mater and Logan Hospitals.

Ken actively participates in a large variety of sporting activities and will be completing his first triathlon this year. Ken is across diet and exercise strategies for optimizing your physical fitness for sport.
